Ford’s October sales report revealed that the 2022 Ford Maverick is a huge hit with first-time truck buyers, Millennials, and Gen Z. This report comes as no surprise considering America’s first standard full-hybrid pickup has an MSRP of $20K. The Mavericks price tag is much cheaper than its competitors; while still flaunting an impressive fuel economy.
Another attractive aspect of the Mavericks design is its ability to be customized with FIT Slots. Ford demonstrates this in their youtube series called “Hack Your Maverick,” where they show DIY videos on installing bed lighting, an air compressor, bike racks, and more. Scott Anderson, a Maverick interior designer, said that “It’s very easy to plug and play, allowing you to add different accessories to the interior, regardless of whether they are 3D printed or manufactured.” The 2022 Ford Maverick also features on-the-go charging, a multi-position tailgate, and towing capabilities of up to 4,000 pounds.
